# The Pulsetic alternative that checks more than reachability

Pulsetic leads with status pages and does it well — three of them on the free plan, unlimited on every paid plan, with custom domains. As a monitoring engine it covers the essentials — HTTP, keyword, SSL, ping, port, TCP, domain expiry, cron and API — with real-user monitoring recently added. If your problem is telling customers what is happening, they are a strong pick. If your problem is finding out what is happening in the first place, the check catalogue is where we differ.

## Where Pulsetic is better than us

- Three status pages on the free plan, with custom domains available.
- SMS and voice alerts priced per message rather than bundled.
- A simple, approachable interface with very little to learn.

## Choose Pulsetic if

- Status pages are the main thing you are buying.
- Ten monitors covers you and you want three public pages for free.
- You want per-alert SMS pricing rather than a credit bundle.

## Choose WatchFor if

- You need checks beyond reachability — CDN, DNS records, mail policy, network path.
- You would rather not pay per extra monitor beyond the plan limit.
- You want on-call schedules and escalation chains built in.
- You want an API, SDKs and an MCP server on every plan.

## Moving over

Monitors map directly — via the CSV import under Monitors → Import or the REST API — and status pages are recreated in a few minutes. Subscriber lists have to be re-imported on the status page side.

## Questions people ask

Which has better status pages? Theirs are a larger part of the product and unlimited on every paid plan. We include three on Free and 25 from €7 a month, with password protection and subscriber notifications. For a pure status-page purchase, compare them directly.

What is the difference in what gets checked? Pulsetic covers the essentials — HTTP, keyword, SSL, ping, port, TCP, domain expiry, cron and API. We add the layers around them: DNS records and propagation, CDN cache behaviour, mail authentication, blacklists, network path, MCP servers, NTP, WebSocket and more — 25 types against their ten.

Do you charge per extra monitor? No. Plans include a monitor count and you move up a plan when you outgrow it. Pulsetic bills overage per monitor, which suits a slowly growing estate and costs more in a burst.

## Try it on the thing you are actually worried about

15 monitors free, commercial use allowed, no card. If it does not beat what you have, keep what you have.

## About these figures

Everything stated here about Pulsetic was read from [their published pricing](https://pulsetic.com/pricing/) on 11 September 2026 . Pricing, limits and features in this market change often and without notice, so treat this as a starting point and confirm the current terms with both vendors before you buy. We are not affiliated with Pulsetic , and product names belong to their owners.

Agent-readiness scores are published by [ora.ai](https://ora.ai) and [is-agentic.com](https://is-agentic.com) for the domain named under each score, as of the date shown. They grade a domain, not a product: a vendor whose developer surface lives on a subdomain can score lower than its product deserves. We show each service's own cached result and never request a scan of another company's site, so a domain neither service has scanned reads as not scanned. Scoring rules change over time; compare the dates as well as the numbers.
