# WatchFor for Android: Native, Fast, and Already in Our Lab

We built a native Android app for WatchFor, and it works. It is being tested in our lab right now while we collect feedback before the release. Here is what it already does.

## What It Does Today

Native Kotlin and Jetpack Compose: a cold start under a second in our tests, and your system's light or dark theme

### Home that triages

One sentence says what needs a person, with the firing incidents, one-tap Acknowledge and your on-call status. Calm when all is well, red only for trouble.

### AI Agent in your pocket

For organizations with the in-app AI Agent switched on (early access): ask about your monitors and incidents and get answers from your own data.

### Monitors

Status, uptime and response-time charts, recent checks and open incidents per monitor. Pause, resume or run a check now from the phone.

### Hosts

Every server running the agent, with CPU, memory, disk and network readings and its incidents.

### Incidents with root cause

What broke and since when, the root cause, the timeline with who acknowledged, and Acknowledge or Resolve with a note. Swipe to acknowledge, with a few seconds to undo.

### On-call

Who is on call now and until when, your next shifts and the rotation, at a glance.

### Push and critical on-call alerts

Incident notifications for your organizations, and on-call pages that ring as a full-screen alert over the lock screen and, once you allow it, through Do Not Disturb.

### Quick create

Add a monitor or a heartbeat from the phone in a few taps, with a sensible name suggested from the target.

## What Comes Next

Only what we can stand behind: the dates are plans, and this page changes when they do

Now

### Working, and in lab testing

The app runs on our test phones against real organizations. We use it every day, fix what we find and collect feedback.

### Early access for beta testers

A small group of WatchFor users gets the app before release. Tell us you'd like to be one of them.

Planned for December 2026

### Google Play, then iPhone

Native iOS and Android apps are planned for December 2026. It is a plan, not a promise of a date, and we'll say so here when it moves.

Usable today

## Don't Want to Wait?

The WatchFor dashboard is built for phones and installs as an app from the browser on Android and iPhone, with incident push notifications and Acknowledge right from the notification on Android.

## Frequently asked questions

[All questions→](/faq)[Ask us directly](/contact)

Can I download the WatchFor Android app today? Not from Google Play yet. The app works and is being tested in our lab; we're inviting a small group of beta testers first. Use the contact form to ask for early access. Until then, WatchFor installs as an app straight from the browser, with incident push notifications.

## Want Early Access?

Tell us you'd like to test the Android app: the email of your WatchFor account and your phone model are enough. We read every message and reply, usually within a day.
