## Four Ways to Use WatchFor

Pick the one that fits the moment. Three of them work today, and the native Android app is on its way.

### Desktop browser

The full dashboard in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, with keyboard shortcuts and the ⌘K command palette.

### Any phone browser

Open watchfor.io on any phone and sign in. Every page works at phone width, from monitor charts to on-call and settings.

### Installed app with push

Install WatchFor from the browser on Android, iPhone, iPad or the desktop. It opens in its own window and receives incident push notifications.

## The Details That Make It Work One-Handed

Every page of the dashboard is laid out for a phone screen, not just the overview

### Bottom navigation and sheets

Dashboard, Monitors, Incidents and Inbox sit under your thumb; More slides the full menu in as a sheet, and the organization switcher is at its top.

### Sticky action bars

Run now and Pause on a monitor, Acknowledge and Resolve on an incident: the main actions stay pinned above the navigation while you scroll.

### Charts that fit

Response time, CDN cache hit ratio and edge cache, host metrics and incident frequency redraw for the screen width, with readable axes and a range brush.

### Incidents with root cause

What happened, the diagnosis, the expected and the detected value, the confirming locations and the timeline, on one scrollable page.

### AI Agent in your pocket

Where the in-app AI Agent is switched on (early access, per organization), it works on the phone too: ask why something is down and get an answer from your own data.

### Integrations at your fingertips

Switch a Slack or Teams channel off, add a contact, edit an on-call rotation or a status page from the phone, with the same permissions as on the desktop.

### Light and dark

Follows the system theme by default, or pick one with a tap in the top bar. Both are designed, neither is an afterthought.

### Honest when offline

The installed app needs a connection, like the dashboard. Offline, it shows a short notice and reloads by itself when you're back online.

## Incident Push on Your Phone and Desktop

Turn on push under Settings → Notifications → Push notifications, per device. A confirmed incident arrives with its monitor and what went wrong; a resolved one replaces it. On Android and in desktop Chrome or Edge, Acknowledge right from the notification, without opening the app.

- • Incident opened and resolved on by default, acknowledged by someone off
- • Tapping a push opens the incident in the right organization
- • iPhone and iPad: push from the installed app (iOS 16.4 or later)

## A Desktop App, Too

Installed from Chrome or Edge, WatchFor runs in its own window on Windows, macOS and Linux, with its own taskbar or Dock icon and push notifications. Here on a Linux desktop:

## Install It in Ten Seconds

No app store, no download: the browser installs WatchFor like an app

1

### Android

In Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet, tap Install app on the dashboard card or in your avatar menu, then Install. In Firefox for Android, open ⋮ and choose Install.

2

### iPhone and iPad

Open WatchFor in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add. Chrome and Edge on iOS 16.4 or later have it under Share too. Sign in once in the installed app.

3

### Windows, macOS and Linux

In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or Install app in your avatar menu. On a Mac with Safari (macOS Sonoma or later): File → Add to Dock.

From the second visit, phones show a small Install WatchFor card on the dashboard. [Step-by-step guide](/docs/organization#install-the-app)

## Frequently asked questions

[All questions→](/faq)[Ask us directly](/contact)

Is there a WatchFor app for my phone? Yes. WatchFor installs as an app straight from the browser on Android, iPhone and iPad, without an app store. The installed app opens the dashboard in its own window and receives incident push notifications. A native Android app is in testing in our lab, and native iOS and Android apps are planned for December 2026.
