# Draft a post-mortem with AI from the incident

The AI Agent could write a good post-mortem, but only if you knew to ask it in the chat, and the New post-mortem picker was a long list with no way to find an older incident. Now the incident page, the New post-mortem picker and the Ask AI menu have Draft with AI: the agent writes the draft from the incident's timeline and root cause, you approve it and land in the editor to finish it. Existing drafts get Fill with AI, and the picker is wider with search by monitor, alert rule or #incident.
