# API: certificate and domain expiry in the summary

To answer "what expires soon?" an integration had to read every SSL and domain monitor one by one, which doesn't scale to hundreds of certificates. GET /api/v1/summary (and the MCP get_summary tool) now includes expiring: counts of certificates and domains already expired, expiring within 7 days and within 30 days, plus the ten soonest with days left — one call, however many monitors you have.
