# API: list the organizations a token can act on

An OAuth token can act on every organization its user belongs to, but there was no way to look up the ids that X-WatchFor-Organization expects. GET /api/v1/organizations now lists them with your role in each, the plan, and which one is the default and which one the request used; an API key lists its own organization. SDKs 0.16.0 add organizations.list() and the CLI watchfor organizations.
