# Report MTBF counts from when monitoring started

A report's mean time between failures divided the whole report period by the number of incidents, so a monitor added yesterday looked as if it had been watched all week. MTBF now uses the time since monitoring began within the period, divided by the incidents that started in it, and stays empty until there are at least two.
