# Install WatchFor as an app on your phone or desktop

Checking an incident from your phone meant finding the right browser tab first. Now WatchFor installs as an app: one tap on Install app in Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet, or Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad. It opens in its own window, gets incident push notifications (on iPhone and iPad only the installed app can), and shows a short offline notice instead of an error when you lose signal.

## How to install

Where How

Android — Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet Install app on the dashboard card or in your avatar menu

iPhone and iPad Share → Add to Home Screen , then Add

Firefox for Android ⋮ → Install (or Add to Home screen )

Desktop Chrome or Edge The install icon in the address bar, or Install app in your avatar menu

Safari on the Mac File → Add to Dock

From your second visit, phones show a small Install WatchFor card on the dashboard; × hides it for 30 days. There's nothing to download from an app store.

## In the installed app

- The dashboard opens in its own window, and on phones the status bar follows your light or dark theme.

- Incident push notifications work, and on iPhone and iPad they work only in the installed app.

- Without a connection you get a short You're offline page that reloads by itself once you're back.
