# Dashboard pages open much faster, especially on phones

On a phone, the dashboard, Monitors and incident pages could take several seconds before showing anything useful, because they loaded their data only after all of the page's code had arrived. The first screen of every main page now comes with the page itself, rarely used parts load only when you open them, and pages weigh about half as much, so content appears almost at once.

## What changed

- The first screen comes with the page on the dashboard, Monitors, a monitor's page, Incidents, an incident's page, the Inbox, On-call and Reports.

- Less to download up front. Dialogs, charts and each monitor tab's code load when you open them; the browser-check script editor no longer loads on the monitor's overview.

- Nothing jumps while loading. Placeholders have the same size as what replaces them.

- Long lists stay smooth : cards further down the page draw when you scroll to them.

If a new version is released while a tab is open, the page reloads once by itself instead of showing an error.
