# MCP inventory alerts name the changed tools

A "Tool Inventory Changed" alert used to tell you only how many tools the server had now, so you had to open the monitor to find out what moved. The incident page and every notification now show the count before and after and name the tools that were added, removed or changed, for example "58 → 59 tools (+1 added: mail_server_check; 2 changed: run_diagnostic, list_diagnostics)". The incident page lists them all and links to the monitor's change history.
