# Data breach monitors now spot breaches the day they are published

A breach that Have I Been Pwned added recently but that happened years ago could slip past the "new breach" rule, because its age was read from the breach date. Monitors now use the date the breach was added, so a newly published breach of your domain alerts within the rule's window.
