# Agent installer needs no extra packages

The one-line install could stop on servers where the minisign package does not exist, Ubuntu 18.04 among them, asking you to install it first. It now needs nothing beyond curl, tar and sha256sum: the download is checked against checksums that watchfor.io serves only after verifying the release signature on our side, and the agent then verifies that signature itself with the key built into it. The install command fetches the script from watchfor.io/agent/install.sh, a signed copy from the release, and sudo watchfor-agent uninstall removes the agent, its service, state, token and user cleanly.
