# Alert links open the page they point to, and missing pages say so

Following a link from an alert email or a Slack message after your session had expired dropped you on the dashboard home instead of the incident you were called about — you had to find it again while the clock ran. Deep links now open the page they point to right after you sign in. Pages that genuinely don't exist, or that you have no access to, give one consistent screen with a way back instead of a blank page or a silent redirect, and a notification channel that fails validation now explains itself under the field instead of showing raw validation output.
