# API: stable cursors, stricter validation and richer responses

A cursor at a deleted item silently skipped a page, limit=abc passed as the default, and acknowledge or resolve returned a bare message instead of the incident. Cursors now encode a position (old ones keep working); an invalid limit, a sort parameter or an oversized body gets a clear 400 or 413; only the Bearer scheme is accepted; errors carry your real remaining rate budget; incident actions return the full incident. Browser callers can send Idempotency-Key, now allowed on the cross-origin preflight. New fields: maintenance, during_maintenance, ping_url and a cursor on check history.
