# API keys can be renamed and given an exact expiry date

Once a key was created, its name was fixed, and an expiry could only be set as a number of days. You can now rename a key later (the activity log records the old and new name), and set an expiry as an exact date and time as well as in days. An expired key fails with a clear message.
