# Email channels always send to the current contact group members

If you removed someone from a contact group and they kept getting alert emails, or added someone and they got nothing, that was our bug: email channels froze their recipient list when saved. Recipients are now resolved from the channel's contact groups at send time, so adding or removing a contact, changing an email address or deleting a group takes effect immediately. No need to re-save the channel.
