# Alert rules: heartbeat and MCP presets fixed, severity simplified to Critical and Warning

If you toggled a heartbeat or MCP server preset in the Alerting tab and ended up with a duplicate rule that never fired, that was our bug. Presets now recognise the existing rule, every rule is stored in one consistent form, and existing rules were repaired automatically. The rarely used Info severity is gone too: the twelve optional presets that used it are now Warning, so they show as Degraded and actually reach your channels.
