# Reports: weekly & monthly emails, trends and plain-language insights

"How did last week go?" should not take a spreadsheet to answer. A new Reports page shows how your period went versus the one before: uptime, incidents, MTTR/MTBF and response-time trends, with plain-language insights like which monitor caused the most incidents or which certificate is about to expire. Weekly and monthly email delivery is built in (weekly is on by default, to up to five recipients), and AI agents can fetch the report and manage the email schedule over the API, MCP and A2A.

The report opens with what needs attention, then the numbers next to last week.

Weekly and monthly emails, each with its own recipients.

## What a report answers

Open Reports in the sidebar and you get the last 7 or 30 days next to the period before. Every number carries its change, so "uptime 99.2 %" also tells you whether that is better or worse than last time.

- Summary: uptime, incidents, total downtime, mean time to resolve (MTTR), mean time between failures (MTBF) and the longest incident.

- Monitors: every monitor with its uptime, average and p95 response time and incident count, worst first.

- Insights: short findings ranked by how much they matter, such as "Login caused 96 of 104 incidents, a single root cause is likely", a certificate close to expiry, or a cron job that missed its check-ins.

## Example

The weekly email arrives on Monday morning. It says uptime went from 99.98 % to 99.71 %, that one monitor caused most of the incidents, and that resolving them took 14 minutes on average instead of 6. You know where to look before you open the dashboard.

## Email and agents

- Weekly reports go out on Mondays and cover the previous seven days; monthly reports go out on the 1st. Weekly is on by default and addressed to the owner.

- Change the cadence and the recipients under Reports → Email reports . Recipients don't need a WatchFor account.

- The same report is available as JSON through the [REST API](/docs/api/reports), the MCP get_report tool and A2A, so an assistant asked "how was our week?" quotes the numbers you see.

The [Reports docs](/docs/reports) explain how every number is calculated.

Since then: reports also cover servers that run the agent ([Hosts everywhere](/changelog/2026-09-22-hosts-everywhere)).
