# On-call reports — print or save as PDF

Working out on-call compensation from a calendar by hand at the end of the month is tedious and easy to get wrong. Every on-call schedule can now be exported as a clean A4 report for any period: per-person totals with shift counts and override time, plus the full shift log. Navigate the calendar to the month or week you want, click Report, toggle people on or off, and print or save as PDF.

## What's in the report

- The schedule, the organization and the exact period it covers.

- Per-person totals : time on call, share of the period, number of shifts and time covered by overrides.

- The full shift log : every shift with its start, end and length, overrides marked.

A shift belongs to the period in which it ends, so a week that hands over on the 1st counts in the new month. This is the same rule the calendar totals use, so the report and the screen always agree.

## An example

It's the first of the month and finance needs September's on-call hours. You open the schedule, step the calendar back to September and click Report . A clean A4 page opens with each engineer's hours and shift count, and any cover done through overrides shown separately. Untick anyone who shouldn't be on it, then Print / Save as PDF and attach the file to the payroll request.

## Where to find it

Alerting → On-call → Schedules , then Report on the schedule card. The report always covers exactly the week or month the calendar is showing. See [Calendar and totals](/docs/alerting/on-call#calendar-and-totals).
