# Docs: allowlisting WatchFor probes in Cloudflare

If Cloudflare's bot protection challenged our probes, your monitor went down while your site was fine, and the docs left you to work out the fix yourself. There is now a step-by-step guide — a WAF custom rule or an IP access rule for the published probe ranges, plus how to verify the request really came from WatchFor — linked from the probe locations page and the FAQ.
