# Third-party components on status pages

During an outage, the first thing your customers want to know is whether it is you or your provider. You can now show the live status of the services you depend on — GitHub, Cloudflare, Stripe, GitLab, OpenAI, Slack, Google Cloud and more than 20 others — right on your own status page, with a 30-day uptime history bar so visitors see the recent track record, not just this moment. Add a component, pick the service and the specific parts you rely on (or its overall status), and WatchFor keeps it fresh from the provider's public status page.

Tick only the parts of a provider you depend on.

## Why it helps

When Stripe has a bad hour, your checkout fails too, and your customers can't tell whose fault it is. Showing your providers next to your own services answers that before anyone writes to support.

## What you get

- A catalog of 30 providers, including GitHub, GitLab, Cloudflare, Vercel, Stripe, OpenAI, Anthropic, Slack, Google Cloud, Twilio, SendGrid and Sentry.

- Pick the parts you actually depend on, such as GitHub Actions and Webhooks . Or leave them all unticked to show the provider's overall status as one line.

- The status is read from the provider's own public status page every 3 minutes. There is nothing to log in to.

- An uptime history bar fills in from the day you add the component.

- A provider's outage does not change your page's headline. That keeps reflecting only the services you run.

## An example

Your deploys run on GitHub Actions. You add a GitHub component with Actions ticked. The next time Actions is degraded, visitors see your own services green and GitHub Actions amber, with a link to GitHub's status page. Nobody on your team has to post a notice.

## How to set it up

In your status page, click Add component , choose Third-party service , search for the provider and tick the parts you rely on. Display modes work as they do for your own components. See [Third-party components](/docs/status-pages/components#third-party-components).
