# Import your monitors from Site24x7

Leaving Site24x7 should not cost you an afternoon of copying monitors across. Sign in with Zoho Self Client credentials and your monitors come over mapped to their WatchFor equivalents — website and REST API checks with keywords, headers and auth, ping, port, SMTP, DNS with expected answers, plus SSL certificate and domain expiry monitors.

## Where to find the credentials

Site24x7 uses Zoho's API console. Open api-console.zoho.com , create a Self Client and copy its Client ID and Client Secret . In the Generate Code tab, enter the scope Site24x7.Admin.Read , generate a code and paste it into WatchFor straight away, because the code expires after a few minutes.

## How the import works

- Open Monitors → Import and pick the tool you are leaving.

- Paste the credentials. The dialog shows where to find them in that tool.

- Review the preview. Each monitor shows its WatchFor type, target and interval, with a note when something needs a second look, such as an interval raised to your plan's minimum or a rule that could not be carried over. Monitors that cannot be imported are listed with the reason.

- Untick what you don't want, choose which notification group gets the alerts, and import.

Imported monitors get a tag with the tool's name, so you can filter the whole batch later. Owners and admins can import.

## What to check afterwards

SSL certificate and domain expiry monitors come over as WatchFor's own certificate and domain monitors, so their alert thresholds are worth a quick look. POP and IMAP mailbox checks are listed as not imported, with the reason.
