# Multiple organizations, one free per account

If you look after monitoring for several clients or companies, mixing them into one account gets messy fast. You can now create a separate organization for each. Every account includes one free organization; each additional one picks its own plan, so your personal free organization is never affected. Organization cards show each organization's plan at a glance.

## Who it is for

Agencies and freelancers who look after several clients, people with a day job and a side project, and teams that want production and staging kept apart. One organization each keeps monitors, alerts, status pages and members separate, so a client never sees another client's incidents.

## How it works

- Every account includes one free organization , normally the one you created when you signed up.

- Each extra organization picks its own plan under Settings → Subscription , and a coupon code works there too. Until it has a plan, it can't run monitors.

- Your free organization is never touched. You don't have to upgrade it to add a paid one next to it.

- Being invited into other people's organizations doesn't count. Join as many as you are asked to.

- The organization cards show each organization's plan, so you can see at a glance which one is which.

## Example

You run a small agency. Your own sites stay in your free organization. For a new client, Northwind , you create a second organization on its own plan, invite their developer, and send alerts to their Slack. Their monitors, incidents and invoices never mix with yours.
