# Adjustable audit timeout for Core Web Vitals monitors

A heavy or slow page can need longer than a fixed limit allows, and then its Lighthouse audit simply does not finish. Browser monitors now have an Audit Timeout setting, 1 to 5 minutes with a default of 3. Raise it on the individual monitors whose pages need more time.
