# Notification history

Whether an alert actually went out, and to whom, should never be a mystery. There is now a searchable history of every alert sent, with each rule shown by its readable name and exactly which channel each notification was delivered to.

Every delivery attempt, with its channel, outcome and incident.

## What each row shows

- Status : Sent , Failed (hover the badge for the exact error, such as "returned 404") or Silenced .

- The channel, the monitor and the severity.

- The alert rule by its readable name, not an internal ID, with a link to the incident.

## Finding the one you need

Filter by status, channel type or monitor, or search for a channel name, a monitor, an error message or a webhook URL. Each monitor's Alerting tab shows the same history for that one monitor.

## Example

A teammate says nobody heard about last night's outage. Filter by Failed and you see that the Slack channel returned 404 on every attempt since Tuesday: someone removed the webhook on the Slack side. Paste a new URL and the next alert gets through.

## Where to find it

It shipped as Alerting → History . Today it is Alerting → Channels & contacts → Delivery log , shown in the screenshot. See [Notification history](/docs/notifications/history).

Since then, [repeat reminders](/changelog/2026-07-27-incident-reminders) are logged too, and the history is [available over the API](/changelog/2026-08-26-audit-and-delivery-api).
