# Create and manage monitors

Setting up a monitor should take a minute, not a form-filling session. You can now add HTTP, DNS and TCP monitors straight from your dashboard, and the target is validated for the check type you picked, so a typo is caught before the first check ever runs. Pausing and resuming a monitor is a single click.
